Google has changed their search algorithm impacting many searches for new results. This can be seen in events that occur on a regular basis where one has to just type in the name of the event and it shows up with the latest news and information. If the reader wants to know about current events and the latest topics, Google displays new and fresh content that would be hot off the press. Unlike previous crawling and indexing that took time, Google indexes a page in no time and has it published almost immediately. “Caffeine lets us index web pages on an enormous scale. In fact, every second, Caffeine processes hundreds of thousands of pages in parallel. If this were a pile of paper it would grow three miles taller every second. Caffeine takes up nearly 100 million gigabytes of storage in one database and adds new information at a rate of hundreds of thousands of gigabytes per day. You would need 625,000 of the largest iPods to store that much information; if these were stacked end-to-end they would go for more than 40 mile, says Carrie Grimes, Google.

Though the latest changes have surprised all Internet aficionados, it is not surprising that Google, the most innovative and versatile search engine has opened up even more new and refreshing avenues with algorithm changes to offer visitors fresh and frequent updates. Yes, the results would definitely change for almost 35% of searches that would impact search engine results. Moving over to the Caffeine infrastructure, Google has been able to return fast results with quick crawling and indexing. Accelerated by Caffeine, Google offers its latest algorithm change that has enormous capacity to crawl and index new content to give viewers a refreshing change with recent results.

Efficiency at its Best

Information that is up-to-date with the latest happenings can now be read by viewers at frequent periods. Google exhibits a storage capacity with Caffeine offering an excellent infrastructure. Storing additional data with 50% of newer results than the previous index, Google displays flexibility that allows association of a page with several countries instead of only country that was the case earlier. Google Blog announces that, “We’ve built Caffeine with the future in mind. Not only is it fresher, it’s a robust foundation that makes it possible for us to build an even faster and comprehensive search engine that scales with the growth of information online, and delivers even more relevant search results to you.” This is both interesting and exciting with the fact that though this algorithmic change is progressive it does affect search engine results.

This does mean that content owners can relax while Caffeine works for them resulting in making the content accessible in a more flexible and quicker manner. Though Caffeine is not a ranking algorithm change, it will affect ranking with new signals that are related with the pages. With Penguin updates attacking black hat ‘webspam’ methods, the Panda updates have been demoting low quality sites to leverage quality content so that SEO professionals can increase the credibility of the site to bring in trust, value and interaction that appeals to customers.
